Love the place!

The accommodations were absolutely beautiful. The development was quite empty due to Covid, and it was away from the craziness, but that is exactly what we were looking for. Almost a private beach to ourselves. We were lucky enough to meet the owners, and they made our stay even better! We loved our time here, and our new friends. We would definitely come back again! Date of arrival - September 12, 2020

Great views!

Our host was phenomenal, very proactive about communication with us, and helped us rent a car and do some other sundry tasks. The space itself was perfect for our group of 4 (2 married couples). Great views, plenty of space to spread out and unpack, beautiful bathrooms. The location was wonderful too: 5-10 min drive to downtown SJdC, 5 mins from the marina, and 20 minutes to great surf on the East Cape, thanks to the new paved road. Needless to say, we'll be back soon! Date of arrival - August 13, 2020

Our stay at this gorgeous villa, was so incredible and too short. We arrived late and were greeted by security at the entrance gate. The villa had large rooms with beautiful furnishings. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you would need for cooking. Some spices and olive oil were available so no need to purchase. They have a large laundry room for your use, that supply beach towels. We spent most of our time on the beautiful deck to soak in the view and whale watch. Spectacular! Don't forget your binoculars. There is a gas grill on the deck and seating for four at the table and a built in bench to stretch out. Both rooms had views and access to a deck. Alilat Anaya is your concierge throughout your stay, and is so helpful before your arrival in setting things up for you and giving directions. She will make any plans you have for tours, dinners, etc. She is really fabulous. Security is helpful and friendly and if you want to tour and see some of the properties for sale, be sure to see Dennis, really nice guy. He'll have you buying a place in no time. :) I can't say enough about this property. I highly recommend staying here. The whole development/property is gorgeous, definitely five star. Airbnb

Beautiful Condo!

My husband and I stayed in C-301 at El Encanto de Laguna for a week in February 2018. The condo was clean, quiet, well-furnished and quite lovely. The view is amazing and you get a feeling of complete seclusion despite the fact you're in a condominium. There is total privacy - neighbors do not have a view inside the condo's balconies. The balconies are very spacious with high-quality patio furniture and a nice built-in grill. The infinity pool is immaculate and beautiful, and the two jacuzzis are huge. It is very quiet at the pool, but we did meet several people there...everyone was extremely friendly. The beach is outstanding, and like everything else, it's immaculate. You basically have it to yourself - you may run into a couple of people walking on the beach but that's it. You can walk for miles. Regarding the town, my husband and I love San Jose del Cabo and visit every year. The condo is in the hills about 10-15 minutes from the center of town. We'll usually drive into Cabo San Lucas a few times but prefer the small-town feel of San Jose. The great restaurants are too numerous to mention and there are plenty of high-quality stores to shop. Costa Azul, another gorgeous beach in San Jose, is worth visiting. If you want a totally relaxing vacation away from it all, this is the place to stay! VRBO

Love this place!

I stayed at the El Encanto condo for a few days and it was everything I had hoped for, and more. My family and I had stayed at one of the villas last year (as we were a larger group) and loved the community and staff so much that I decided to stay there again this year when I needed to get away. (1) The staff: Alilat is absolutely wonderful. She is very responsive, and so helpful. She booked my activities in advance, and got me the rental car reserved so everything was ready by the time I arrived. She also sent me a massage therapist even though I put in the request at the last minute. (2) The condo: It's great! It's very nicely furnished, and has everything you need for a wonderful stay. It's on the last floor and is a corner unit, so it has wrap around balcony with nice furniture and long chairs. The views from the condo are absolutely AMAZING!!! You have unobstructed views of the sea. I woke up every morning and watched the beautiful sunrise from the bed itself! (3) El Encanto community: I love love looooove this gated community. It's so well manicured and just absolutely gorgeous. The people that live there are so nice, and the beach is beautiful. It's s (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) peaceful and relaxing, and it's so conveniently located close enough to everything but not too close where you still feel secluded and have your privacy. I cannot wait to go back again, I just love this place so much and can't recommend it enough! Airbnb

Gorgeous condo!

What a gorgeous condo! The penthouse was incredibly well appointed and more luxurious than expected. We ate every meal outside, enjoying the incredible view. Loved the infinity pool. Only a short walk to the beach. Don’t miss Buzzards. A quiet, restful week, just what the doctor ordered! We didn’t want to leave.

We spent a week at the condo at the beginning of April. Everything thing was as expected or better. The pictures are accurate. You will not be disappointed. Very clean and well appointed. The pool is peaceful and awesome. Beach is pretty but not for swimming. Importantly, no one will attempt to sell you a time share, or anything for that matter (which I hear happens constantly even at very expensive resorts). The road from San Jose to El Encanto is rough but totally doable ( we had the tiniest car imaginable i’ve had bikes with bigger tires ). Taxis are $30USD one way to San Jose. The direction provided were spot on and the way is well marked with signs. We were immediately contacted upon booking by Maria and Alilat who provided any details requested while also offering to arrange everything from rental cars to grocery stocking to SUP boards. They were extremely helpful, responded quickly and professionally to all requests. They were terrific! Note that there isn’t much near El Encanto in terms of services. There is a b&b with restaurant, Buzzards, within easy walking distance. But that is it. Buzzards is cash only. Food is good but not great and for some reason has a exchange rate of 12:1 when the actual exchange rate is 15:1. So bring pesos if you have them. All that being said, they are super friendly, helpful, delightful folks. You’ll be glad it is there. Highly recommend Flora Farms an organic farm+restaurant+provisions market about 15 minutes from El Encanto. Food is fresh and the atmosphere is lovely. Highly recommend buying some sausage to bring back for the grill on the patio. For a smaller, organic farm restuarant, with less of the cruiseship / resort crowd, hit Huerta Los Tamarindos. We did a lunchtime cooking class there for $80/pp including a 5 course lunch (drinks were extra but also delicious). It was a great time but would also be lovely place to just go to eat. If you drive there, you’ll probably think several times that you’ve gone astray and want to turn back but keep going. It’s off the beaten track for sure.

What a real pleasure staying at El Encanto!

What a real pleasure staying at El Encanto! Yes it's out of the way, but it's worth the effort. The complex, grounds, infinity pool, beach, access to the Eastern Cape and watching the whales breaching from the veranda...amazing! 4 days felt like 7 days. Bring food and beverages before you make venture, because it's well worth making your meals onsite or visiting Buzzards or for something extra special Flora Farm. Renting a suv or equivalent is the way to go for sure. Airbnb

Outstanding Penthouse

My girls and I loved our stay at El Encanto. The location is private, quiet, and beautiful. The condo is very well maintained, beautifully furnished, and extremely comfortable. I slept better there than at home! The views are really incredible. The beach was very private; many times there was no one on the beach. If you are looking for a nice place with beautiful views, then you have the right location. This location is very close to San Jose del Cabo; we went surfing at Cabo Surf Hotel (my daughters took a lesson at the Mike Doyle school of surfing, we ate at the wonderful Flora Farms (a must do) and we even enjoyed an evening with a chef that Maria arranged for us. We ate in regularly as the kitchen is very well stocked with cookware, etc. We also enjoyed horseback riding on the beach (horses and ATV's nearby). The community pool is fantastic. I only wish we could have stayed longer! Maria was more than helpful and extremely professional. Annette (from San Juan Capistrano, CA) VRBO
